Welcome to our home-based restaurant, located in a quiet little street in the well-established area of Roosheuwel in Klerksdorp. Johannes Duminy Street is one of the shortest streets in Klerksdorp. Giving @JD5 a tranquil atmosphere with almost no passing traffic. The homely atmosphere match the Avon guard style plating and MasterChef inspired cooking. @JD5 will ensure some memorable moments with family and friends. Our themed nights with a pre-set menu, are something to experience. It is an unique blend of a homely atmosphere meeting the Avon guard-meet-chique restaurant vibe, only available at JD5.

We created an atmosphere where it feels as if you are visiting a good old friend. Having a good meal while chatting away over your favourite drink of choice. Birthday parties and anniversaries are made special with a complementary bottle of bubly (over 18's only)

Themed Evenings

We have a selection of specially planned themed evenings.

1. Monday is Burger Night.
Build your own Home-Style burger with a 200g 100% free range pure beef patty or a flame grilled chicken breast, choosing between toppings such as Jalapeno, Guacamole, Pickeled Red Onion, Homemade Tomato Sause, Homemade Mayo, Bacon, Cheese, Cheese Sause, Lettuce and Tomato.
2. Wednesday is all you can eat Pizza or Pasta.
On arrival you will be served a portion of our homemade pasta, each week a different style of pasta is served. Thereafter different styles of pizza is served varying from traditional to designer pizzas. This is an all you can eat style of evening. We regret that no take-aways are allowed.
3. Friday is Meaty Friday.
You can choose between different kinds of meat. All is served with vegetables and hand-cut chips.
4. Saturday is Brunch.
Bookings are essential! You can visit @JD5 betwee 11:00 & 14:00 for brunch. The menu includes breakfast, lunch and some sweet treats. Only coffee/tea, soft drink and juice are available.
5. Saturday Evening is Silly Saturday.
The chef decides beforehand what he will be serving for the day. This information is posted on our Facebook page at the beginning of each month/week.
6. Sunday is On-Appointment Lunch
It is essential that you make a reservation for a table of 10 or more people. You together with the chef will decide on a suitable menu.

Our “Tri-pod” team consists of 3 dedicated foodie partners. None of them are trained chefs but is well practised home-cooks. Each has their own passion for food and each hasa different style of cooking.
